The PE department at Morrison’s Academy is a fun, challenging and friendly place for our pupils to discover their talents and abilities.  Whether it be performing a street dance with friends, scrambling around our one-of-a-kind bouldering room or competing on the rugby or hockey pitch, we have something for everyone!

All pupils from Nursery to S6 have the opportunity to develop their skills, understanding and love of sport through a wide range of activities and certificate courses including Advanced Higher PE.  Pupils are encouraged to strive for and achieve their sporting potential while our teachers bring a wide range of skills to inspire pupils of all abilities to benefit from leading an active lifestyle both now and in the future.  Over the course of a Morrison’s education, children’s personal and social skills are developed with fair play, team work, cooperation, resilience and ambition nurtured and encouraged.

The department has excellent on-campus facilities including a games hall with climbing wall and adjacent bouldering room; fitness suite; a large gym; seven outdoor tennis courts and grass playing area known as Academy Park.  For Games, secondary pupils take the short walk to our beautiful playing fields at Dallerie which we boast is the best ‘classroom’ in the school!  Dallerie’s backdrop of the Perthshire hills provides a stunning vista to the teaching of our Games programme activities - rugby, hockey, athletics and cricket.

The PE department is unique in that we see every child through their whole school career from the first day they arrive to the day they leave.  Through exciting and engaging teaching we are proud that every single child has the opportunity to achieve and enjoy success whatever their sporting aspiration.

I love trying out lots of different sports.  Teachers always encourage us to really challenge ourselves.
