Pupil Support

We want all our children to be happy and feel secure at school.

All staff, teaching and non-teaching, work towards achieving this. They have concern for ‘the whole child' and by supportive and effective guidance and counselling aim to produce an atmosphere in which all pupils are confident that they are well known, safe, valued, respected and that there are regular checks and reports on their progress.

The fundamental principles are based on Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC), with the focus on the wellbeing indicators: safe, healthy, achieving, nurtured, active, respected, responsible and included. Our pastoral system supports children in four key areas – personal, social, curricular and career choice.

All organisations concerned with children should work towards what is best for each child.
