Transitional
The Transitional (Primary 7) year allows children to make a smooth and confident move into our Secondary School with a programme designed to develop the skills they will need. Transitional pupils are taught by a combination of specialist Secondary School teachers whilst remaining with their Primary School teachers for core subjects.
During the year, pupils take on various roles of responsibilities that involve them working cooperatively with other year groups. Transitional House Captains are elected by the pupils themselves and there is a Buddy System that allows some pupils to work with the younger children.
Transitional pupils will develop the skills they need to thrive in the Secondary School, organising and taking responsibility for themselves and others as well as broadening and deepening their academic grasp.
