Snow Fun

Monday, 22 Feb 2016

Our first snow of the year, although fairly light, meant the sledges came out and the children showed themselves to be daring and enterprising in their desire to go from the top of our garden to the bottom. Techniques were swapped and everyone was cheered on to reach their own goal.

There was a remarkable amount of cooperation to create snowmen and animals as there was limited snow available to build with. We had help from siblings at the end of the session and Olaf became a reality.

It was soon discovered that sliding in the cold, with wet waterproofs, meant you could shoot off the end of the slide and ‘go for miles’. The staff were kept busy moving the slide so fresh snow could be found to land in.

We were sad the snow did not last long and are eagerly waiting for more snow to fall.
