Our second trip to the farm

Friday, 28 Apr 2017

Our second trip to a farm this week was quite special. The children were able to feed the goats with the ginger nuts we had taken as we know from previous trips that was their favourite treat. The nannies had kids and the billy goats were content to look on from their separate fields. One sow had piglets whilst the other four were resting and the boar was just happy rolling in the mud and having a good scratch whilst the electric fence was switched off. We were amazed at how fast the chickens ran to us once they realised we had some grain – it was like a running race at sports day. The ducks made us laugh too as Mr Woods chased them over to us. We got eggs too for our baking and snack next week. It was a lovely visit and we are so looking forward to going back soon.
