Morrison’s Academy owes its existence to the legacy left by Thomas Morrison, a stonemason from Muthill. A legacy to our school is one of the greatest gifts we can receive and makes a real difference to the lives of the children at Morrison's Academy.
‘One such legacy, which the school has received recently, was left by Mr and Mrs Dunsire. Mr Dunsire had a distinguished school career, being Dux of the school, winning the MacRosty medal and captaining both the 1st XV rugby team and the 1st XI cricket team.’
As a registered charity (number SC000458), a legacy to Morrison's Academy is in most instances tax free and will reduce any inheritance tax burden on your estate, whilst ensuring your gift benefits others long into the future.
If you choose to leave a gift to Morrison's Academy in your will, you will become a member of the 1860 Society, an informal organisation of like-minded individuals who have left bequests to the School. In recognition of this support and to show our appreciation we will keep you up to date on life at Morrison's Academy and you will be invited to an annual 1860 lunch hosted by the Rector..
