June is always a busy time in schools with end of term events, including Sports Days, Prize Givings, Sports celebration evenings, Music and Drama awards nights and recitals. Our June calendar celebrates the accomplishments our pupils have made throughout the year.

At Morrison’s Academy we offer varied opportunities to inspire dreams. Every child has the opportunity to explore their interests and develop their talents with the help and support of our capable staff.

During May, in the Primary school, pupils with dreams of the big stage and performing had the opportunity to take part in the colourful and lively Madagascar Musical.

Pupils with aspirations of Wimbledon, trained with our school coaches and took part in the local schools tennis tournament, winning all six of their matches.

Our Primary Six classes embraced the opportunity to escape into the wilderness with explorations and orienteering around Comrie Croft, encouraging a love of the outdoors and adventure.

In the Secondary School, after the busy exam season, S1 - S3 pupils participated in activities week. As part of our personalised education ethos, all S1 - S3 pupils were given a range of opportunities to take part in.

For the thrill seekers, a trip to Alton Towers. For the bookish and historical buffs, three days overnight in Edinburgh. For the artistic and creative, a course in design in the Art Department, making garments out of recyclable materials. For the child with wanderlust and love of nature, a munro bagging, hiking and orienteering expedition. For the sporty and agile, a surfing, canoeing and rock climbing excursion.

Finally, for the adventurous and philanthropic, a seven day Across Scotland Challenge, travelling by bike from Southend in Kintyre to the Butt of Lewis Lighthouse on the Isle of Lewis to raise money for the Archie Foundation in Tayside. The team have raised over £5000.

No matter your child’s interests, Morrison’s Academy provides opportunities for growth and will nurture, guide and inspire your child’s talents and help them towards their big dreams.
