Teacher of Business Management

An exciting opportunity is available to become part of Morrison’s Academy’s growing Business Studies Department.  We are growing the department with a view to creating opportunities for practical business skills to be learnt whilst gaining academic qualifications.  Founded in 1860, Morrison’s Academy is Perthshire’s leading Independent Day School.  We are a friendly, family-orientated school and provide quality education to approximately 500 pupils from ages 3 to18 years.   

About the role 

We are looking for an engaging and enthusiastic teacher of Business Management.  The post holder will also contribute to the development and improvement of the subject across the school.  This is a new post in our growing Business Studies Department and will offer a unique career opportunity at a sector leading school.  The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a passion for the job and an ability to teach the curriculum to the highest level.

About you

You will hold an honours degree directly relevant to the teaching of a Business related subject.  A PGCE/PGDE in the teaching of Business Education is desirable.  You should be GTC Scotland registered, or eligible for registration.  Experience developing teaching and learning materials and improving attainment and assessment would be beneficial as would the ability to teach a second business-related subject.  You will have strong interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team.  You will be looking for a role that will stretch your capabilities and allow you to develop your skills, which could lead to more responsibility within the department over time.  In addition to experienced practitioners, we would very much welcome applications from Probationers or NQT’s.
