Mathematics Department

A busy schedule has been planned in the Maths department during November.

Along with on-going assessed homework in years S3-S6, Mathletics consolidation for all years and routine homework, a group of 4 Higher pupils will take part in the Senior Maths Team Challenge at University of Edinburgh on 19th November. Calum Strong, Callum Ballantyne, Andrew Paterson and Ruben Penny will represent the school at this annual event. Good luck to the 4 of you.

Towards the end of November, S1 and S2 classes will be assessed on their next block of work, S3 and S4 will have an exam on all topics they have covered in Intermediate 2 to date and Higher and Advanced Higher will show their current progress tackling the appropriate extension tests.

Students will get back what they put in and I encourage them all to work to the best of their ability at all times. Please ask for help outwith class time as well and remember that, most lunch times, a maths room is available for extra study.

Good luck
