School Governors

The ultimate responsibility for Governance of the School is vested in the Board of Governors who meet as a Board four times a year.

A Governor is appointed to the Board by each of the University of Edinburgh, University of St Andrews, University of Glasgow, University of Stirling and Edinburgh Napier University.  Two (one male and one female) are nominated by the Morrisonian Club, and one by Morrison's Academy Parents' Association.  One Governor is elected by the Local Authority, currently Perth & Kinross Council and one by the Local Authority having responsibility for education in the area in which Crieff lies, currently also Perth & Kinross Council.  This latter post has been declined by the Council and is therefore currently filled through the co-option procedure which also entitles the Board to co-opt a further six Governors as appropriate to maintain the required balance of skills and experience.  One of these co-options requires to have experience in education.
