Camp Fire

Mr Speck, the School Factor, came to Nursery to make a camp fire for us. Unfortunately, his bag of wood split open and the wood went everywhere! All the children helped to gather the wood and Mr Speck made it into a 'wig-wam' shape. This is important so the fire burns quickly and strongly.

Our teachers told us all about being secure around fires and how to keep ourselves safe with fireworks.

We had an incredibly informative morning.

I liked watching the orange and red flames. It was nice being cosy outside and I'll always remember not to get too close!!

I loved the bonfire. I mustn't go close and only grown ups are allowed to light a fire. It was really hot and I loved the flames jumping up. Thank you Mr. Speck!

I liked the bonfire - it was lovely and warm. I turned round to get some warmth on my back.
