Nursery

Children are encouraged to flourish at Morrison’s Nursery. We believe this is the start of a journey to prepare your child for the best possible future.

We believe that every day at Nursery should be a challenging and stimulating experience for your child. Consequently our Nursery gives children the best possible start in their social and educational journey in a safe, exciting and motivating environment.

Inside the Nursery there are large, bright, airy rooms; outside there are extensive gardens at the front and back where children are often found absorbed in team projects as well as enjoying the variety of stimulating play equipment.

The children in the Nursery benefit from both structured learning time and less formal sessions where play and discovery are encouraged. They have opportunities to make, play, create, build, discuss, listen, participate and enjoy the activities available to them each day.

Experienced, well-qualified staff recognise the children as individuals but also encourage every child to integrate with others. With sympathetic guidance, we engage with the children in a wide variety of situations; this gives them a breadth of experience and begins to instill in them a spirit of enquiry preparing them for the challenging world of "The Big School".

Parents are encouraged to spend time in the Nursery seeing what their children are doing and we warmly welcome parents who can bring special skills or talents into the Nursery. The communication between the Nursery and parents is vital and, although we see you informally throughout the year, you will receive both written and verbal reports on the progress of your child and we will always welcome feedback from you on how and what we are doing.

(Although we are an independent school we receive Nursery School funding from Perth & Kinross council as a member of its Partner Provider initiative.)
