Morrison’s Pupils to Help Indian Orphans

Mr Gibson and Callum

Pictured here are Mr Graham Gibson and his son Callum who are helping to raise funds for Indian orphan girls who live in primitive conditions in the foothills of the Himalayas.
Mr Gibson addressed Morrison’s pupils recently on behalf of the Lotus Flower Trust, a charitable organization which helps the needy in India.

Mr Gibson asked the Morrison’s students to buy wristbands in order to raise money so that the girls, known as The Untouchables because of their low status in society, could have more civilized accommodation.

Currently there are 78 girls sharing one room and they have to sleep on a concrete floor with just blankets for cover. The Lotus Flower Trust is attempting to build the girls a new home with a skills centre. Morrison’s Academy pupils will help by providing bunk beds for them.
