Morrison's Says Farewell to Mrs Marion McGuire

Morrison's Academy recently said farewell to the Head of Catering, Mrs Marion McGuire, who has retired from the school after more than 30 years.

Having started in 1976, countless pupils and staff have enjoyed the delicious meals she and her team have prepared over the last 33 years. She admits she has seen quite a number of changes in that time, namely the transition from mixed boarding and day pupils to day school but the highlight of her career was the visit of her Majesty the Queen in 1985 when she had to prepare lunch for the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh.

Morrison's wishes Marion well in her retirement: she says she hopes to spend more time in her garden and learn how to use a computer.
