Morrison’s Pupils to take part in Gambian Project
Six Morrison's Academy pupils will be spending Christmas and New Year in Gambia as part of a project to help re-build a school house in a remote area of the country.
In a joint venture with the World Scouts' Association, the group of fifth and sixth year pupils will be raising funds to finance the trip which will be leaving on 10 December and returning on 09 January 2010.
They are all looking forward to the venture and are busy with a variety of fund-raising activities such bag-packing, own-clothes days and speeches to the local Rotary club.
One of them is directing the hilarious play 'The Exam' which is due to be performed on 08 October at 7.30pm in Memorial Hall (ticket price £5.00).
