Morrison’s 150th Anniversary Concert a Resounding Success

anniversary concertMorrison’s Academy recently held a very successful 150th Anniversary Concert in the Perth Concert Hall.

An audience of nearly 800 enjoyed a varied programme of musical items, including a performance of John Rutter’s ‘Mass of the Children’; a ‘Fanfare Salute – MacPherson’s Lament’ (performed by the Drum Corps and Pipe Band); ‘A Jacobite Legacy’ (specially commissioned for the Chamber Choir to mark the 150th Anniversary); ‘Animal, Vegetable, Mineral’ with guest vocalists Graeme Danby and Valerie Reid; and finishing with a rousing climax ‘Inter-Continental Gathering March Highland Cathedral’ with the Pipe band, Orchestra and Choirs (pictured).
