Pipe Band leads Crieff Remembrance Day Parade

On Sunday 8 November the people of Crieff paid homage to the town’s war dead in a parade and service of remembrance.

The parade, led by the Morrison’s Academy Pipe Band, moved from the Royal British Legion to Crieff Parish Church and then to the War Memorial where wreaths were laid and Pipe Major Andrew Tainsh played the traditional lament “Flowers of the Forest.”

The Band then led the parade to James Square for a march-past to salute the colours of the many organisations which were represented at this important occasion.

This was a very poignant occasion, particularly for some of our youngest members who were playing with the band for the first time.

I would just like to thank all who took part in the parade on 8th Nov , I thought the band carried out the duties required to a very high standard. I feel it is very important that the school is involved in the local community on such an important day.
