“Education is for improving the lives of others and for leaving your community and world better than you found it”
- Marian Wright Edelman

Morrison's Academy has been at the heart of the local community in Crieff since 1860. The school plays an important part in the local economy by supporting local businesses through the trade which is received from its staff and pupils and drawing parents to live in the town by its reputation.

Our pupils are encouraged to be socially aware and to play their part in the local community by using their talents and skills to contribute to the colourful array of local life. Whether it is the Pipe Band playing at the Crieff market or the Chamber Choir singing at BLESMA, you are sure to find the presence of Morrison's Academy at local events. Pupils who are completing their Duke of Edinburgh award usually undertake their service in the local area - a visit to a local charity shop or youth organisation will almost certainly lead to you meeting a Morrisonian.

Many of our pupils are involved in raising funds for both local and national charities. This is usually done through special events such as a hat day or non-uniform day or from cake and candy stalls.

In a small town where meeting places for local community groups are increasingly difficult to find, the use of the school's facilities has gained added significance. The school is delighted to be able to share its facilities with the community on a regular basis. Regular use is currently made of the Art department by StrathLearning, the climbing wall by Perth and Kinross council and Academy Hall by various groups. These can be booked using the forms below (please note that the climbing wall can only be booked by organised groups).

If you are interested in booking any of the school facilities then please fill in the appropriate form and send to the HR Administrator at the usual address.
